We tried a Finbarrs takeaway Sunday Lunch last weekend and it was amazing. The collection service, the packaging, the instructions were all superb and the food was of the same 5-star quality served in the restaurant. Well done to all at Finbarrs.

Best restaurant in Durham (admittedly the City is not famed for its cuisine, but Finbarr's would be deemed good in any location). Great food, well cooked and a good wine list. Excellent venison and duck, local seafood and delicious haggis scotch eggs. Yummy souffle and mousse for dessert. Really good bread. Service not very slick and one waitress was clearly not having a good day, as she offered a frown from first meeting and was lacking a smile throughout the evening unless encouraged. We will return.

We had a fabulous meal here recently. Having a dairy allergy wasn't an issue, the staff were lovely and the chef adapted the menu perfectly. Thank you!

Good Sunday roast - the meat was fantastic although everything else slightly paled in comparison. Staff were great and one of the best COVID set-ups I’ve seen.
