I am incredibly impressed with Sam Stocks. I did not think I was the type of person to ever hire a personal trainer and when i met Sam at DW North Shields I was amazed he has changed my whole way of looking at fitness. I am over 50, overweight and have some significant injuries to work around. I have stuck to his nutrition and fitness program for four weeks, i have lost an amazing 14 pounds and a staggering 4 inches of my waist. My walking is better than its been for nine years, my breathing is better my skin is better and i am more focused and more productive at work. My arms and legs are leaner and i am feeling more agile stronger and more flexible. I cannot recommend this trainer highly enough. My goal was to lose three stone, however i think with Sams help five stone is very achievable to lose the weight and keep it off forever. I am over the moon i have just spent and enjoyable afternoon taking all my clothes out of the wardrobe and replacing them with clothes one and two sizes smaller. If you want to get fitter and leaner, hire this guy and do what he tells you to.

Brilliant trainer, very approachable and someone who can help you achieve results. I have been training with Sam for 5 years and although I had been a gym goer for 12 years before that, within 6 weeks of training with Sam I had lost almost 2 stone in weight, I was more toned and making much better food choices. If you are looking for a personal trainer then definitely contact Sam to see what he can do for you.

Visited this DW fitness club gym on Boxing Day December 2016 as I was shopping at Nike store in royal quays, I have peak membership at DW in byker when I walked in I got a stare from reception staff as if what you doing here it was 3pm And closed at 4pm didn't do my regular weight training because of time shortage just used steam room and shower on my way out from the club I got look of death from the reception girl we pay their wage or they won't have a job in the first place fair enough it's that time of the year when go home bit early but we need to train and get our money's worth this attitude we're closing early so get the F out of here is over the top without members this place won't be open for long we're shortchanged as it is with this Christmas period holidays

I've trained with Sam for just over a year now. I had problem with my weight and problems with my shoulder. Bored doing gym work, But after I started training with Sam I've lost over a stone in weight and my shoulder has not given me any major problems. I started to enjoy the gym again and working harder than I ever would have done without his support. Even my running times have improved. I've taken 3mins off my mile time.Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Sam to anyone looking to increase their gym or sports performance

This gym is a joke, signed up for a membership in the new year, Jan 5th, I had to join twice as they lost my first application. Since joining I have received over two dozen calls asking if my wife or another family member would like to join this gym, however I've not received one call regarding the free PT session or fitness assessment that was promised upon joining. It has great facilities but the staff don't seem to have a clue or are interested. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME/MONEY JOINING THIS GYM.

I previously rated this as 5 stars however I feel the need to amend to 1 star. Over the past few years this gym has gone down hill big time. The staff are just disgustingly rude. I found a tampon in the pool... Staffs response... "Oh dear"[chuckle] Cancelled my membership and left.

im still a member. The facilities are top notch, its better now since its less busy now that fit for less is open across the road. The place is let down by the staff, customer service is awfull, personel trainers are fine, but the management are bunch of kids. Ive sent a few emails to the head office, and not heard anything back. Essentially, problem is that i renewed my membership in store, and they flat out refused to give me an invoice, a reciept, or a copy of my new contract. i needed the paperwork to claim the money back from work. No idea how a business can be run like this.
