The Stute as it’s known locally is a charity social centre that has been going since 1908 when local businesses got together to build a place where locals could go somewhere affordable and did not involve alcohol. It’s a well loved part of the history of our local community and offers many rooms and facilities for all ages and interests. From 5 snooker tables and a pool & table tennis table, there’s meeting rooms for hire and where games clubs hold their weekly sessions. Several Ju Jitsu and kick boxing classes to chose from, a popular children’s pre school and yoga and Tai Chi to name but a few more groups that are based here. From being the home club for a world champion in Norman Dagley to hosting former World champion Mark Selby on our centenary celebrations the Stute continues to attract young and old. All at really affordable prices.

We attend the JuJitsu classes here with our children. Facilities are clean and more than adequate. Good space. Wheel chair access to ground floor only. No parking for the site but there is free parking a short walk away. Easy access from the village high street.
