Simple bronze statue, But speaks for itself
like
It’s in front of the Edinburgh City Chambers.
Statue depicting one of the finest generals of antiquity, Alexander the Great, and his massive horse, Bucephalus - "The Ox Headed", which the great man was reputed to have won in a wager with his father, tamimg the up until then untamable creature. In Edinburgh City Council Lore, the huge horse symbolises the rowdy and untamable extended population of Edinburgh itself, during Festival Season and on Hogmany, with Alexander symbolising the forces of Law and Order
Good
