Staff at depot so helpful, and as I was from out of town I rang them but could only describe where I was, still Linda found me got me a taxi real fast, and don't know how she did it, just from me saying what I could see, and I couldn't find a st sign just a take away a closed estate agent but she found me anyway, so for the rest of the visit I used them every day, and alway so helpful willing to wait if I needed to run into a shop for supiles to take back as we were in a apartment hotel. They gave us tips on take aways and good places to eat during the day. Again when we came to leave I popped into there base to drop of a tip for all the staff to go for a drink on us, and in USA we tip everything so I think they thought it odd we passed by at all. I but without there great service are stay would have been more stressed because we knew nothing, not even the main St for shopping where they dropped off my wife then picked her up at exactly same place. She said no need for her to remember the name of where we were staying they had that put in the log by the base it was almost a bespoke service, and we and I'd recommend to any outsiders visiting use them they wouldn't rip you off or dump you any old place even if it adds 5 minutes to journey the sit in traffic and wait so when you get out you almost at the door of where you heading.

I have been using central taxi for years and they never disappoint. Staff on the phone are always very helpful and available at all times. Taxi drivers are so kind and always up for a lovely chat that will lift your mood up even at 4am in the morning. They are super punctual as well. Highly recommend.

I always use Central and find them reliable with drivers who know what they are doing unlike Edinburgh Private Hire. One thing I don't like are the Mercedes and Peugeot vehicles. They are difficult to get in and out of and elderly people cannot access them. The traditional taxis are a much loved British Icon and much better.

Worst taxi experience ever. This driver did not like the way I helped my disabled wife into the cab. So, to “teach me a lesson” he demanded that I take her back out!!! When you are disabled or the caregiver of a disabled person, you have to put up with a lot of insulting condescension; but this man’s intended aim was to humiliate us. I took the photo assuming that the tag around his neck would identify him. It doesn’t. I would like to know his name in order to make a formal complaint. The incident took place on July 14, 2018 at 2:55 PM at 10 Lady Lawson St, Edinburgh.
