Unfortunately this establishment discriminates those exempt from wearing a face covering. My partner and I visited the shop (we are both exempt) and we were asked if we had masks. We politely stated that we were exempt but were further asked to provide evidence ( a lanyard). On pointing out to the assistant that it is illegal to ask anyone for such evidence, She offered that we speak to the supervisor as masks or evidence of exemption are required for entry, with the business being an independent. The Scottish gov website states “those exempt under the guidance and regulations do not have to prove their exemption and should not be made to wear a face covering or denied access to places where face coverings are required.” Please verse yourselves appropriately regarding the law.

Eden is another gem on Cockburn Street. Always a nice place to visit when looking for a present, it has a lovely selection of trinkets as well as larger wooden items. From ornaments to furniture, the carved wooden goods in Eden are beautiful. The variety of wooden elephants, giraffes and owls is fun, (-other animals are available too!) At Christmas time they always have really nice and unusual decorations and you could spend hours looking through them all before deciding what to buy!
