Tristan Laing

I have never met a larger bunch of freer people. They are literally renovating the basements themselves. And when I say themselves, I mean the students, as in the students of the student coop (students' co-op ;). Live here if you're willing to take on some responsibility, attend biweekly general assemblies, join a committee, and get your hands dirty doing some construction. But the payoff is you get to own your own building, and thereby transform your relationship with commodities.

I love Edinburgh Student Housing Cooperative. I have lived in many places in Edinburgh since I moved here in 2008 and this has been my best experience. The people here are great fun to work with, to play with and are so supportive of each other. There is an awesome sense of community, solidarity and individual empowerment to make impact in our community with our passions and expertise. I look forward with much excitement to living here for many more years! :)

This place is great! I lived in ESHC for a full year during my master studies and I felt at home and part of the community in an instant! The place is not just nice to live with, it also gives you the opportunity to learn a lot and improve your expertise. I would advice anyone to live in such a vibrant place.
