If you’re vegan and u haven’t been here you are seriously missing out. Food is excellent and service is awesome! Had the Falafelwrap and the BBQ Seitan Wrap with a Hemp Tea.
Brand new vegan cafe offering vegan and raw vegan food including a very wide selection of cakes, cookies and donuts. Very friendly, chatty and knowledgeable owners. Recommended :-)

This is a great vegan cafe. Very tasty meals, cooked and raw options. The staff are really friendly, they seem very passionate and knowledgeable about plant based diets and have interesting conversations about it.
Great food, great staff, and great prices. The seitan wrap, red juice, and coffee here were very good. Even though I have never had a coffee with oat milk that I actually liked before (I prefer coconut milk), I decided to try the iced coffee here and it was great. I was also never a huge fan of whipping cream before I became vegan, but the vegan whipping cream on the iced coffee was delicious. If I come to Edinburgh again I will make another visit here and if my family/friends come to Edinburgh I will definitely recommend Grassroots to them. Grassroots now has at least 1 Canadian fan! )
Most Educative and Friendly Entrepreneurs that i have met in a long time! The prices are so reasonable and the ethos that GrassRoots represents should be a great example for all other hospitality industries! you are what you eat, and Dean and Jo are as sweet as dates! I am amazed by their humbleness and kindness thank you so much for shedding a lot of light on nutrition and the link between our health and our food! This is my new health store for Vegan cheese selection and the coffee was great! I usually don't eat cakes, cookies but the raw desserts will definitely be tasted in a near future!
