Good for kids
It's been about 6 years since I last had curry goat, and this is a comeback like no other. Absolutely delicious in every way, perfectly balanced flavours and an aroma to die for. The jerk chicken is also outstanding, flavourful with a hint of smokey goodness. My only complaint is that the spice level could be higher, but that's easily remedied with some pepper flakes. If I could give Jamrock Jerk 6 stars, it still wouldn't be enough for how satisfying and nostalgic it was.

We walked by Jamrock Jerk and it caught our eye immediately. We did a bit of touring and came back for dinner. There were so many options on the road, but I’m so glad we walked in here. We ordered the goat curry and jerk chicken - WOW!! The jerk chicken was wonderful and my husband loved the goat curry. Both come with rice and a carrot/cabbage salad. All the flavors worked in harmony. The spices and seasonings were amazing. They also have sauces available to serve on the side. The jerk sauce was great (mild), and they have an extra hot option too. They just opened recently and chef Richard is Jamaican and very courteous. We also had the old Jamaican ginger beer, which was delicious and a good complement to the food. Stop by!
Food here is AMAZING! I was in Scotland for a holiday and was missing my mum's home cooking. So I Googled local caribean restaurants and this came up! I'm so happy I found it, yummy curied goat and dumpling.
The plantain are excellent but the rest of the food didn't do it for us.

Amazing jerk chicken with a great smoky flavour! The fried green plantain and festival was also very delicious and will definitely return for more. Really nice to have some Caribbean food in Edinburgh. Do have to note the restaurant is near St. Patrick square now.
Amazing it is a must add to your favorite list of places to eat or order out
