AVOID AVOID AVOID !. I was told about JHP shortly after i had left school in 2010 and decided to go for an interview at the Musselburgh branch, everything seemed fine during the interview and staff were polite at first. the \course\ as they called it was described to be like a college course with weekly classes focusing on interview preparation and team building exercises , sadly however it was nothing like this. we had two classes witch consisted of filling out forms then all of a sudden people were placed into part time work without agreeing to it, many of my class mates were placed into jobs in fields they didn't want to work in and the choices were limited to either Tesco or local shops. i got a placement at a local hair salon as at the time i wanted to go into hairdressing , things went well even though i was given under the minimum wage by JHP and my employer didn't give me many tasks so for 4 days a week i sat in a chair and washed some cups. After 3 weeks the first bus company canceled all their routs from my home to Musselburgh which meant i couldn't get into work on time everyday since the other buses didn't start till 9. i explained this to my \employer\ and they said they had to \fire\ me. the next day i was met with the most unprofessional meeting i have ever been in, my JHP advisor said i was \an embarrassment to the company\ and had uined JHP's reputation\. i complained to her supervisor and got a snivelling apology but i had had enough and quit. im now in my second year of university and the memory of JHP is still fresh in my head , AVOID them at all costs !. if anything they have turned me away from job opportunities instead of encouraging me.
