Top notch! The team at Lorn Macneal Architects was exceptional in every way, including managing the 4,000 miles gap from Boulder, USA (client) to St Andrews UK (property). Their creativity, engineering, collaboration, detail orientation, productivity, site management, permitting, neighbor interface...everything was spot on! The extension to our Victorian terraced house in Inverleith has transformed the way we live, removing dark and cramped internal spaces and opening up the rear of the house with both light and space to make it a real family home. From the start Lorn Macneal architects provided a very personalised and attentive service. From translating our vision onto paper and elevating it with their own ideas, to patiently listening to our feedback and incorporating it into the final design. They worked with us collaboratively through every step of the process, from planning applications to appointing a contractor, guiding on local suppliers and assisting with changes and amendments during the build. We would highly recommend Lorn and his team and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again in the future.

Returning to the Inverleith area of Edinburgh, after some 23 years, we were recommended to Lorn Macneal Architects for our house renovation. What a good decision we made in instructing LMA. Throughout the project Lorn, in his inimitable style, kept a close eye on the work and the support from the LMA team was exemplary. It would be remiss of us not to give a special mention to Stephen Wilson who project managed on behalf of LMA. He dealt brilliantly with some difficult situations and contractors and even more demanding clients. Nothing was too much trouble for Stephen.
