Every time I'm in Edinburgh I just HAVE to book a tour and descend underground to the vaults below. There is a sudden temperature change from the life we know above ground and the hype is definitely one to be believed

Great tour, very safety conscious in COVID times while retaining quality. We did the ghost tour in the vaults and Lara, our guide, was brilliant at building suspense and bringing the history to life.

What an amazing addition to my trip to Edinburgh my underground tour was! Allin was infomative, entertaining, and made us all feel like an important addition to the group. Per my friends and roommates in the states, Edgar is also wonderful and a wonderful guide. So do choose this tour group no matter what guide you get, you are sure to have a lovely time!

I had been on a similar tour to this prior but this one blew it out of the water! The tour guide Mark was amazing, so good at maintaining his character, and had lots of information to offer up during the tour. He definitely amplified the already eerie atmosphere of the vaults and made something I'm sure I'll remember for a long time.

I did a tour with Helena today and it was absolutely brilliant. The way she told the stories was so intriguing that I could not pay attention to anything else besides her. There's a bit of acting necessary when doing such tours and Helena absolutely excelled. Although I new some of the stories above ground from other tours etc, it was still interesting, and the vaults were also interesting and a bit spooky. I would definitely recommend this tour and Helena as a guide :)

My husband and I made it a habit to do a tour right after we arrived in a new city to get a better understanding for its history, people and life. Today we did a tour with mercat tours booked through Viator. Rachel was our tour guide and I must say this was by far the best and most comprehensive city tour we have taken by now. She took us to many spots that we would have passed by without her not knowing what kind of history connects with it. She spoke clearly and had such a fun way of describing her favorite spots and history. I highly recommend her and the tour company and give full-heartedly 5 stars :)
