I was lucky to find my probate partner… I was lucky to find my probate partner on the Web after receiving two "Errors and omissions" standard letters from the local Court following my application for Confirmation on my mother's estate. I had completed Confirmation application for my father's estate back in 2008 and had therefore had some experience. I had also spoken with our solicitor who had provided some guidance back in 2008. They stated that nothing had changed in the process, however I found out from the Court that the fundamental change was that the Court is no longer able to say what the errors and/or omissions in an application are. My probate partner reviewed my submission and was able to quickly advise on what needed changing, also at a very reasonable fee taking account of the work that had been done. I should add that prior to finding this company I had contacted my solicitor and two other solicitors who said they couldn't help as they hadn't done the preparation of the estate valuation. The confirmation process in Scotland in my view needs improving, the "errors and omissions " standard letters are not helpful and in my experience neither are the solicitors. I recommend using my probate partner for your best chance of getting Confirmation granted on your first submission. You will save time and money.

Great service from Mike. Answered a couple of questions on live chat then took my details and returned completed forms within 24 hours. Sent to the Sheriff Court and Confirmation Certificate sent back within six days without any queries. I tried to do this a couple of years ago and ended up paying a small fortune to a solicitor. Wish I had known of this then!

I found myself in a real pickle after attempting to obtain Grant of Confirmation for my Mother's estate. and having my submissions returned on three occasions. With the COVID situation I found it difficult to gain access to Local High Street Solicitors to give support. I resorted to trawling thru' the internet for some tell tale information that would point me in the direction of a solicitor that could engage with me recognising my urgency. The webpage for My Probate Partner appealed to me as the most responsive and after contacting them they replied with Contact telephone no. and I was able to relay my situation.I now have Grant of Confirmation. I have no option but to give 5 stars but highlight the the Responsive and Good Value elements of their service. Their Website seems to be directed to people in situations similar to mine.
