Pro tip: order two rolls and put one in the bag for later. Forget about it, and enjoy the tastiest pocket surprise ever! The pork and the roll will fuse together, and create a whole seperate eating experience. I don't think I would eat here often if I lived nearby, but every other month I find myself craving pocket hog.

Oh my. What a real delight this place is. One of the tastiest hog roasts you’ll find. A simple menu, just choose your size, what type of stuffing you want and the sauce to go with it. I skipped the classic apple sauce and went for the smoky BBQ which was delicious. Hot tip: get some crackling, but save it til last. So, so good.
Absolutely love visiting this place every time I am in Edinburgh. The food and the portion size has never disappointed. The selection is of course limited to pork as shown but the sizes and what is included with the main filling does vary and you can specify what you would like to complete your perfect hog roast bap The place is small but there is places to sit at the front and back of the store. Staff have always been extremely friendly & chatty. I’ve heard them explain to tourists many times how it works and it’s always been very polite and welcoming. Recommend this place to anyone.
Possible the best cheap it place in Edinburgh! The roasted pulled pork is always sooo good, never a complaint. I fully recommend getting in early as there is always a que.
Oink definitely allows you to pork out. They have daily specials. unfortunately they had run out of soup. The buns, meat, and the skin were all done to perfection. It is an extremely popular destination for a quick bite to eat. The staff were all very friendly and cordial. It was fun to witness the madness while the staff remained calm. Great opportunity for people watching. The location is perfect if you intend to go on with your tourist attractions.
Amazing experience visiting Oink for lunch. Their sandwiches are very fairly priced and service is super quick! The food itself is also really good! I recommend the cheese sauce, and please say yes do the crunchy bits. This is a great place to visit if you want to eat on the move or want to have a quick lunch so you can spend more time adventuring. Also, you will want to visit this street if you’re a Harry Potter fan as Rowling based Diagonal Alley off this area.

Do you want the best pork sandwich in the Whole of The UK ? My guess is yes, and Oink delivers just that. Lined out the door for most of the day it’s easy to see why. Tons of sauce options and as much succulent pulled pork as you care to indulge in, smack dab on a beautiful roll. 5 days in Edinburgh, 8 Pork sandwiches. Not convinced? Look at the folks salivating as they stare inside.
