Conned out of 10 here - I handed over a 20 note to buy 1 drink and only got a 5 note back with change. Guy denied doing anything wrong despite my protest that I handed over a 20 note. This was a couple of years ago so hopefully that con artist doesn't work there any more. Otherwise a nice friendly place.

Always a first stop when visiting Edinburgh. Had to cancel August, 2020 visit, but rebooked for the 2nd weekend in August, 2021. Alan is a joyous barkeeper. Hold on.....the vaccinated, card-carrying, hordes will be arriving by Spring. In the meanwhile, enjoy Hogmanay. What a hoot that was! (Oh, the stories)

My boyfriend and I loved this place! Especially after walking around all day this was a great bar with a cozy atmosphere. Comfortable seating and relaxed feel makes this a great place for having drinks and a good conversation with friends. A great place to hang out and sit back. Will be back for sure to try the food!
