Visited the Roseleaf a couple weeks ago while visiting Edinburgh. I booked a reservation via email weeks in advance so we got a table right away. Staff were friendly, but service wasn’t the best. Our food also took forever to arrive. The scotch egg was amazing, but the other dishes weren’t exceptional. They were good, but nothing special.

Our favourite breakfast place in Edinburgh! Best cooked breakfast, awesome menu and broad range of drinks too! The staff are also incredibly nice. Highly recommended if you are looking for a brunch place. They can get really busy on weekends so make sure you make a reservation!

We had to take a taxi from our hotel to get here, otherwise it was going to be a really long walk in rainy weather, but we were so glad we did!! Very interesting interior, unique artwork and decor, antique furniture and dishes, but most importantly, friendly workers and scrumptious food. Highly recommended, even if it’s out of the way. Nice spot near the water!
Great atmosphere paintings and pictures galore very creative and quirky. They have some games to play whilst waiting too like scrabble and Trivial pursuit 1980s! They have a bar, nice toilets and many tables too! The food is amazing with big portions and a nice selection of sauces I had French toast, bacon and maple syrup I was absolutely stuffed when I finished! A great Lip smacking place for a meal!

Great wee local pub, they seem to get the balance of everything just right. Sunday roast never disappoints
