OMG this organisation is an absolute shambles! They are there solely support the solicitors and discourage claims! Our MSPs must have been paid off big time by their legal paymasters to have these muppets as the gateway for public complaints about solicitors.

Hopeless. Pointless. Waste of time and undoubtedely money. A genuine complaint was made regarding our house move, we were delayed in a chain by one week because one of the Solicitors somewhere didn't do their job properly. Absolute nightmare for the 3 families involved with lots of extra costs involved but guess what, all of the firms still received their rip off fees in full. We contacted SLCC about a year ago and are still trying to get someone to hold their hands up. No chance of that happening by using SLCC. Get your own lawyer on the case you might stand a chance???

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE, PLEASE READ They are more of a solicitors help line than a service to help the public. I had a genuine complaint against my solicitor and because I did not word my complaint to my solicitor exactly in solicitors speak, then wait a further 8 weeks, my complaint was then cancelled by the commission. The commission then however informed the solicitor who I dared to complain about, (even though they were not investigating any further) who obviously then terminated their services after stringing it out for years

absolutely useless , why does this quango exist ? , no matter how incompetent your 'lawyer' is ,they will tell you there is no case to answer . this is an old pals act quango sucking up our tax money
