Summer 2017, I finally found the time to visit Peter's workshop, having driven past many times. I was met by Peter, quiet and unassuming and also immensely talented. I fell in love with a a beautiful violin, bought it and subsequently bought one of Peter's violas. My violin (as I take it out more) has been much admired by the classically trained and also folk players. My particular violin has a rich tone, projects well and is very responsive. It's a joy to play. I like a deep rich sound so no surprise this is what drew me to my viola. Not only this but the quality of craftsmanship, beautiful wood and attention to detail (such as the ebony inlaid in the bridge to protect it from the E string) is exceptional. Peter has the skill to produce instruments that not only sound wonderful but look and feel beautiful too.
