Ordered an economy car online for 6 days during August - got 10% off with NHS discount too so was pleased about that. When I arrived to pick up the car, I was given an upgrade, which I thought was a nice gesture. Manager of the store was pleasant and helpful. I was concerned about damage to the car. I had heard that any little bit of damage such as a tiny chip would be charged. However this is not the case, which I was really surprised about. This made me feel more relaxed instantly. Upon returning the car, it was inspected for damage and to make sure the fuel was at the level I received the car at. I was then told I would receive the damage deposit back, which I did. I would have given 5 stars, but one thing I don't agree with has prevented me from doing so - when you select the car, it gives you a base price. However, when you go to pay, it tells you that your excess for damage is 1000, unless you pay an extra 15 a day (at least - will prob depend on the model of the car - I went for an economy). Then comes the breakdown charges. I feel this should all be included in as standard, even if you have to up the price at the start. However, I have had such a smooth experience with this company that I will be back.

Really friendly and efficient service. Will definitely use again. I posted this initially and gave them 5 stars as the service was good but all week during the rental I was thinking next time I will book a class above the B (economy) class I had reserved as I would have preferred something a bit bigger and more power. I now realise after checking my reservation history they gave me a class A (mini) and not a class B (economy) this was never mentioned when I picked the car up and the only place it was is when I logged into the website after the rental. Next time I will book the cheapest class and hope to be upgraded. Not happy about not being told about this but as it was my first time renting a car I didn't know what I should be expecting. I feel I should have been informed when I took the car.
