Had interview with this company. Was then told to give my notice to current employer as Hargreaves was offering me the job as a staff driver based in ash winning. 29/5/18 had my first day on training. 30/5/18 started second day of training, then after given my tablet ID to log into it as part of my training. I was called aside into a room and Sandown with two managers, whom then proceeded to say that i was no longer able to have employment with hargreaves, because of my points on my licence and how the was accumulated, dispite my reason to how. Both managers said that it shouldnt have gone on this far and that licence check should have been done at interview. So now the company had made me unemployed and homeless as my home was based around having a job. I left a perfectly good job, thinking I was going to be in a better one that was offered. But because of Hargreaves poor choice in timing in checking, all this could have been avoided. For a Multi billion company to have very poor system of interview skills and checks, this is really unfair. The one manager who I believe is health and safety. As he walked me off the premises, gave a really low opinion towards me (as if I wasnt worth anything and that it didnt bother him because he had his job and new 16 plate merc coming as he was boating about in the morning of that day). So at moment im homeless and unemployed because of their very poor standards.
