I booked in for a tyre change between 8am &1pm. The fitter phoned at 9ish to inform me, that the tyre was not delivered to them during the night, therefore, had to change the fitting window to 2pm & 4pm the same day. The fitter then turned up at 3ish with the wrong tyre. He said the office would phone me in 10 to 15imins. That call never came. I rang the office the next morning, to be told there was nothing they could do that day. I was having none of it, so out they came and fitted the tyre for about 4:30pm that day. When i drove my car home, it was clear, they hadn't balanced the wheel correctly. I pop into Kwik fit the following day to get the wheel re balanced. I've been buying my tyres from Event tyres for must be 6 years now, because of price and service. Since AA got involed with this company, it's just gone down hill. I will not be using them again.

Despite using Event Tyres for more than 2 years they have let me down badly. I have never ever changed a tyre myself on my own car , they always use to do this annually . The only person who touched the tyres was their representative. I never ever had to change a tyre myself. But when I had a flat tyre one day I have found out that they have damaged the tread. I couldn't put the bolt in.They refused to accept liability and so on they lost a client. I have to pay from my pocket to change the whole thing.
I have used Event Tyres many times before but they really let me down badly this time. A booking was made on 9th August for two tyres to be fitted on 16th August between 11am-3pm. At 8:30am on the fitting day, the first call from the engineer to say it would be tight but he hoped to make it by 3pm. As the vehicle was needed elsewhere after 3:30pm, advised him it must be before that. At 2:30pm, engineer called to say he'd had too many jobs, had to collect tyres and so couldn't get to us before 3:15pm earliest. Advised him we couldn't wait and cancelled the fitting - he couldn't have cared less. Then tried to contact Customer Services - the use of that name is a breach of the Trades Description Act if ever there was one. Firstly, spent time filling in Customer Services Forn on the website and then it came up error each time. Then I used the telephone number given which got me *the receptionist" who was rude. Send an email was repeated parrot fashion until I managed to get her to understand that the form didn't work and I was running out of time and patience. She advised that I couldn't be put through but she would get them to call me - they didn't. Next afternoon, I called again and once again, the receptionist (a male this time) refused to put me through to anyone. I did eventually get a call back from James who offered to fit them on the 19th - I'd already an alternative supplier locally for 2 more. There was no explanation, no effort to really apologise and certainly no offer of any compensation. I asked for the C.E.O.'s name which they refused to give so I'll be writing to him at his home address. Anyone can have a problem - it is the way you deal with it that sorts the "men from the boys". Event Tyres are still in their diapers.
Underwhelmed..... Being informed on the morning of the fitting that they only have 2 of the 4 tyres needed having ordered 3 days beforehand is not good enough...... Wouldn't recommend.......

No longer cheaper than others! Halfords cheaper online prices, Event 71, Halfords 45.99! Since AA have part owned they are really expensive
