Large DIY store selling all you need for house and garden at reasonable prices. Selection of goods is immense and store is big and well looked after. Service is good although I did see some staff chatting and on phones.

B&Q is great if you want to quickly grab something off the shelf. However, they don't hold enough stock of things like paving slabs and fence panels and most of the aggregate and slate chippings bags are split. Also, their poor plants and shrubs always look half dead and all the large ceramic planters are cracked or chipped. I wanted a simple wheelbarrow, but I went through 7 of the one I wanted and every one was bent. Just a little bit more attention to detail would make the world of difference.

I have visited the Evesham & Cheltenham (very big store) & Stratford store regularly in the last 3 months & the Evesham store compares very favourably to Stratford & even Cheltenham (although Cheltenham does have more stock) . Plenty of products at reasonable prices ( Homebase was probably cheaper but its too late for that now !) . Not many staff on tills but even so you isn't have to wait as long as a Supermarket. Helpful staff , the other week I wanted 3 grey paving slabs but there was only 1 out , I mentioned it to the chap outside in the garden area & he said he'll get some out for me for the next day ( Can't us folk lifts outside when there's public about apparently ) . I was pleasantly surprised when he had indeed got a pack out the next day !.
