My car has been impounded at their facility for about a month, I have had to buy a new car as I am dependant on a vehicle. Have now been informed the landowner has instructed bailiffs so we can all arrange to go and collect our cars. However I'm told that none of them are drivable (even though mine was when it went in!) so we have to incur further expense by using a tow company. Cheapest quote I've had so far is 200, has anyone got any other ideas or know of a cheaper company? Am hoping these guys are made to suffer when they go to court, the same way that I have and apparently 200 other drivers on this occasion!

My car has been with this firm for nearly two months, I was given a fixed price for an engine rebuild, they then came back with another price, I did not have the money for a few weeks, I then contacted the garage to find out they have been closed by trading standards and are under investigation by the Police CID. I can not get my car and have no idea where it is and what condition it is in. I am told by the Police and trading standards that I have to wait until investigations are completed. The Watchdog programme has identified the individual I dealt with Daniel ? it appears this company has been known under different names and has ceased trading in the past. Has anyone recovered there vehicle.
Absolute jokers and crooks! "Replaced" the engine (with warped head) in my Dad's Discovery TD5 at huge expense, and 500 miles later... Guess what... We had to get the car recovered by the AA as the car is burning coolant at a hell of a rate, in line with either a failed head gasket or a warped head! A bottle of Steel Seal is 30 and would have done a better job than these guys did (wouldn't be surprised if that's the level of the work they did to the car!). What's worse is they insist on cash or bank transfer for payment, you can't pay by card to make sure you're covered!
Don't use! Formally 1st Choice Engines that said they would rebuild and guarantee for life. Liquidated Dec 2014 but up and running again it seems. Work was bodged and didn't last a year!
Just avoid like the plague!!!!! Absolute rubbish, had a 'new' engine from these muppets and it was trash from day 1, it's been back and was not fixed (charged in cash for diagnosis). I'm now taking legal action to recover over 3000 Won't take credit cards, because the credit card would take the money back for rubbish work. Research the company and it's director with companies house, it does not inspire confidence, only just opened in 2013 and are have failed to report accounts. Building has no sign, phone numbers keep changing & details on invoices and receipts don't match records.
Finally the company has been close, what a great relief, I had a very bed customer service with them charge me money for the job they never did.

BEWARE YOU WILL LOOSE UR CAR AND THOUSAND OF POUNDS THEY ARE UNTOUCHABLE COS OF THE CORRUPT LAW LOOP HOLE THESE CROOKS USE, NONE OF THEM ARE MECHANIC AND YOU WILL BE GREETED BY BASEBALL BATS IF YOU TRY TO CONFRONT THEM.
Bought a transit connect recently that a had recon engine it with less than 5000 miles on it supplied by 1st choice engines with over heating problems got a machanic to investigate it stripped the head that was warped 2nd hand head gaskit fitted shocking workmanship avoid this company at all costs
