Beautiful place, lots of information about its history and well looked after, and free to visit

I only gave this one star because I couldn't give it less. All indications say it is open 7 days week but it. It is off the beaten track. We looked at the tat for sale in the windows. We looked at the farm shop and cafe. Nothing was open despite several folk arriving and disappointed at finding everything closed. Save yourself the bother.....DONT GO.
