Fareham CTC boasts an impressive and unique history. It was originally started in 1929 as a gentleman’s game shooting ground, in 1963 the chance to buy the 38 acres of land arose.
The club was bought by several members, who offered paid membership to other shooters, and when they had recovered their initial loan money through membership fees, gave the club back to the members thus making it a cooperative. Each member is effectively a shareholder, which has made for a very loyal and welcoming group of shooters and a club of which they are proud.
