Hello potential customers. Every Tuesday I visit Filey for an appointment. While walking around killing time I stumbled on this adorable wool shop. For those that don't know me, I collect woolly hats with pom poms. I have friends in America and New Zealand that knit my hats and truthfully It felt like I was cheating on them but how could I not add to my collection. The patterns/colours with pom poms are wonderful. I've visited the store again to ask the lovely Diane if she could help me with a project, a scarf for a friends Christmas gift. I'm aware a scarf is a scarf, however it depends what you're looking for, and the meticulous attention to detail you require. On that note, i'm beyond overjoyed with the end result. I'm truly flawed by the effort and standard. Diane spent nearly an hour trying to match the right colours and way more hours than she should have working on the scarf. I love work proud people. Which leads me onto a perplexing issue regarding some of the reviews. I've bought two hats, i've had my cashmere cardigan fixed and the recent scarf project, all from this shop. I don't think I need to say any more.

Can not understand why this place had such a low score! I stumbled across this little gem while on holiday and I could not have found a better shop! A huge selection of beautiful cross stitch kits (I bought one of their own kits and it is a beautiful one of Filey) and loads of yarn, not cheap and nasty yarn either! Loads of patterns for crochet and knitting and other random bits. Absolute treasure trove, only downside is I wish I had more disposable cash to spend!! Very helpful and very polite so overall a great shopping experience and will definitely be back on my next visit to the coast! Xxx
I went specially to Filey to see if they had a specific cotton the lady was so rude and adamant that there wasn’t such a thing. I got the impression that if she didn’t/couldn’t do that certain craft she didn’t want anything to do with you. Definitely won’t be going there anymore.
Very well stocked local craft/knitting/cross stitch shop.
