I see I gave the Filmhouse two stars with no comment. That must have been a mistake. The Filmhouse is a fantastic resource, with well curated films, comfortable cinemas and a large cafe with reliable menu. I have been going there for years a don't remember having a two star experience. Correcting to five stars although I haven't been since covid.

The cinema is fine but the food in the bar is not to write home about, warmed up microwave dried out rice. Yuk. Apart from that please open again soon.

Been here a couple of times. It has a lovely, relaxed atmosphere and is a great place to come to (quietly) kill a couple of hours. Food and drink is reasonably priced, considering the location. I ordered a bean burger, which was very good, and someone else from our group ordered chilli, which looked brilliant. The soup was pretty nice. There were crumbs on a few of the tables and it would be god if they hoovered more often, but the bathrooms were good and well cleaned.

In my opinion this is the best cinema in the world. Certainly it's the best cinema in Edinburgh. They have a good range of art-house films, great photos and pictures on the wall and a cafe/restaurant that is buzzing in the evenings.

The best cinema in the city. All the more amazing that it is independent! They hold seasons/themed events and player older movies as well as new releases, which is great. Cheaper tickets available in the day as well :)

Very well organised for social distancing in movie theatre and one way system in and out. Able to really relax and enjoy the movie.
