When in Newcastle we called in here for quick, easy and delicious food. Five guys are the children’s go to burger joint. I went in to order and wait for food while the family waited in the car. As tier 3 there was no dine in option. We ordered two junior burgers, a cheeseburger and a plain burger and a massive portion of fries. The food was made fresh and promptly. My only (small) quibble was the bottomless drinks were still bottomless and full price. When dining in that makes sense. But for take out it’s an expensive way to buy soft drinks unless you guzzle pop while waiting for your food. Like I say a small quibble that only made a few difference to the bill.

It's been a very long time since I visited Five Guys and it was like the first drink after a walk in the desert. The burgers were good, thick and juicy. The extras, fresh and tangy. The chips were well cooked and dusted with super spicy Cajun flavour. Well worth the wait!
Excellent experience at this five guys restaurant. From the service all the way to the juicy burgers. Visited this place during the pandemic for take away and whilst there was a bit of a wait we got free drinks for the extra time. The employees were respectful and nothing we asked for seemed like it was asking too much. When we got home the family all thoroughly enjoyed the burgers and the large helping of fries. It is on the pricey side but justified as a treat.
Waited 30-40 minutes for an overpriced cheeseburger. For a restaurant that seems to want to use fresh ingredients, the cheese was the sort of stuff you'd see at mcdonalds and tasted more like sugar than cheese. The fries were quite standard but i personally don't like fries with unpeeled potatoes. The only benefit of this whole experience, worthy of a second star, was the man who served me at the desk. He certainly did his job of making me hopeful for a mouth watering burger, but the end result never came. I can understand why some people would like a place like this, but to save your time and money just go to mcdonalds or burger king of you want a burger.
I visited for the first time with a group of friends who had all been before. The menu isn't extensive so isn't too overwhelming but both they and the guy serving was able to help me decide. I went for the burger and small fries and love that you can individually pick your toppings. The food took a little while to be prepared, which is expected when it's all fresh. The free nuts while you wait is a nice touch too. The drinks machine is pretty nifty with all the different flavour variations. When the food came out the guy made sure to check we collected the right food and was really friendly. The burger itself was absolutely delicious and the portion of fries was huge and equally lovely. The burger was juicy and had great flavour. The fries had their skin on and tasted a bit like those from a chip shop, they were lush. Although it is expensive, it's totally worth it for a bit of a treat.
