One of the best places for fossil hunting in the UK. Good selection of ammonites, belemnites, bivalves and gastropods. Best to hunt after extreme high tides and during winter/spring when the clay is softer and there is more erosion. During summer, the clay dries and hardens, releasing less fossils as a result.

Best time to go here is after a good storm. You will not have as much luck at finding whole pieces like 30 years ago. But you'll find some fossils for sure.

There are some lovely areas with sand, that are lovely to sunbath and swim from. If you go down to the rocky side, there are plenty of fossils to be found ( look hard!) Which keeps many visitors busy.

PjachthavePoude haven met visserscheepjes. Groot verschil tussen de getijden, waardoor de schepen helemaal.droog komen te liggen. Leuke eettentjes en mooie pier langs de klif
