We had a fantastic day out on the Jacobite from Fort William to Mallaig. The staff on the train were excellent and the scenery from the train was stunning. We would definitely do the trip again. The only slight problem is you have to pay with cash or a cheque, luckily we had a cheque book with us.

This is an excellent experience with one or two minor negatives. The steam engine is great and everyone loves being hauled along through the Scottish Highland and over the Glenfinnan Viaduct. The décor of the carriages is a little "tired" and since I wanted to travel one way to Mallaig, I was not able to buy a one way first class ticket. Still, definitely worth a trip.

Een geweldige beleving! Wij zaten in een cabine waar de koffiebar in zat. Dat was voor ons een grote plus, omdat het dan wat rustiger is. Wij hebben genoten van het uitzicht. Zeker een aanrader!
