Only a 20 minute walk from the house, this pub is always friendly. We had a mid week dinner that was more than enough and absolutely excellent food! Planning on coming for dinner and drinks again soon!

Lovely service and great food, nice decor and layout
I am absolutely appalled at what I have seen this evening. On entering the pub we were 'greeted' by a barmaid who was not wearing a mask. There was no table service as currently required by Covid rules and nobody in the pub, staff or customers, was wearing a mask. Groups were mixing and staff were leaning into customers faces. The atmosphere has gone and is now dominated by groups of young people wanting to drink as opposed to socialise. We didn't even finish our drinks. I have been visiting the pub for the last 8 years but right now I am thinking ever again\. This club doesn't care about their customer's safety.
My family had a fantastic time here thanks to the landlord and his staff, they went up and beyond to make our night for my 2 brothers birthday,Friday night, thank you all very much and we will come again and five stars is not enough for the the garden house bandamHere r more for u all
