Just called to book for booster yearly vaccine and told that it could delay for 8 weeks and gave me appointment in mid-March. When I asked that whether they have appointment next week. Yes, they have but, it is the policy to delay due to corona virus. It is not good enough to delay vaccine and blaming everything to pandemic. We managed to book with another clinic.

We had an emergency with one of our dogs. She was seen urgently and treatment is working well so a hats off to the team for that. However, the receptionist was not very friendly on both occasions we were here. Nurse’s though I thought we’re incredible. Still yet to meet the vet themselves due to Covid but nonetheless a decent veterinary albeit quite pricey. That said. They seem to be very quick to ask for payment too. Imagine having an emergency with your pet, nearly losing them then having someone meet you with a card reader as a 1st response for the treatment. (At this point I hadn’t even picked up our dog yet) there was none of the “oh your dog is responding well to the treatment” there was none of that. No assurance what so ever, was just handed a sizeable invoice and given a card reader. The receptionist here needs a quick class in sensitivity and compassion!

I used to love this vets but prices near enough tripled overnight when it changed hands a while back. Despite being assured the vet was rat savvy, the vet I saw on my final visit knew very little about rats and wouldn't accept my elderly boy was old, insisting rats should live 8 yrs on average when in fact the average lifespan of fancy rats is 2 - 2.5 yrs! Yes it was 4 years ago that I last attended as I didn't return after the last experience but have phoned for euthanasia quotes a few times since, hoping the prices had come in line with the other vets, but was shocked by it being 3 x the price or more than it was and at other vets, so thought it had changed hands.
