We normally order our takeaway from Three In One which is delish, but I had a deal on Uber eats, so I thought I'd try out Ashoka for a change. The food was nice & good value especially considering the voucher, but I think in future we'll just stick to Three In one. First of all, they use far too much plastic: Every item was either packaged in a polestyrene or plastic tub- the plastic tubaware being the sort that can last you years! I would ask that they consider the environment a lot more in their methods. Just a few suggestions: * The rice, curries & spiced onions can be in cardboard containers *The poppadoms can come in a paper bag alone - no plastic bag needed aswell * The pakora,samosas etc can be placed in paper bags rather than polestyrene boxes All of which our current curry providers do Now on to the food: We ordered a chicken & a vegetable jalfrezi , and they were tasty, however just not as good as we've had before. Furthermore, my father found not 1, but 2 hairs in the chicken one ( as shown in the pictures ) The pishweari naan was lovely, but just very small. Perhaps there could be an option for boiled or pilau rice? I picked the food up right on time, but it seemed to have been ready for a good amount of time already, and the food was no longer warm as a result - perhaps the food can be kept under a heater while it is awaited to be collected? Overall, we had an good experience, but as I said before, I think we'll just stick to our usual place- not least to save the environment!

Unfortunately a very disappointing visit. Reservation made for 6.30pm, waited outside in the rain until 7pm at which point we managed to get in to a tiny waiting area where we stood for another 10 minutes before being seated. It was very busy, likely as it was a Wednesday during 'Eat out to help out' but the service was ridiculously slow. Took us almost 3 hours from start to finish, and after waiting almost an hour for our food to be served we then had a few different servers over trying to clear plates while we were still quite clearly eating, forks with food on them and full mouths kind of still clearly eating! The food was tasty but nothing spectacular and unfortunately didn't make up for shocking service. Also no social distancing measures to speak of, appears to be business as usual here.

Ordered from here before and it was great but this time curries were very bland, just chicken and sauce, no substance, pakora batter was soft and mushy, poppadoms were stale, couldn't tell the difference between the jalfrezi and korma we ordered, so bland. Will never order here again.

Food Luke warm rice-undercooked not worth the money delivery charge expensive had better supermarket microwave meals would not advise we will not get any more food from this place

Used to be our favourite Indian for home delivery (regular orders over the last 15 years). Tonight we ordered (for 2 of us). It was 70. And it was terrible. Nan was soggy, chicken jalfrezi tasted of vinegar. No sauce for the pakora. Lamb dish was average. Samosa looked as though it was a wet pile of greasy potato with cucumber on the side. I called to complain. They didn’t care. Worst home delivered meal ever. We’ll never order again.
