Lovely looking library but way too noisy, kids running around and talking loudly, people on phones, was never like this at Brookwood library. Avoid if you want to read or concentrate on anything.

It looks lovely and the upper halls are very nice but the library section is pretty limited. There must be less than half the books the old Brookwood library had and it's not exactly a peaceful place. Because the council services are next to the library there is often talking and there are often really loud kids as well. The meeting pod has a strict no food or drink policy so even drinking water means you have to sit in the noisy area which is very short of charge points for laptops. Any meetings take place on the pod as well so people studying are kicked out. A water fountain would be a nice addition and would probably be a good health promotion for the council to discourage trips to greggs.

Dont know why its so low rated- they renovated it about a year ago and it's so nice and beautiful inside. Lovely place to have in our town.

One can assume the renovation into the current library was expensive one. It would appear it is a complete waste of money. There is a lack of adequate peaceful study spaces. I am currently sitting revising for exams while a baby group sings songs and irritating mums babble about shite. I would not recommend this library to anyone - unless you are a baby. It would seem the council have failed drastically.
