I was glad to be there during a night of rain and storm. But the Bothy is not in a good condition, especially because of how people treat it during their stay. Why is it so difficult to leave no trace? Otherwise this would be a wonderful place to stay.

Fantastic experience on the WHW. 1 Jock, 2 Germans girls & 1 slovac all strangers brought together to escape the overnight rain & what a night with roaring log fire,pot noodles & 4 square sausages.lol So much for slumming it in the mountain bothy association bothy.

Difficult to review. Bet it's real nice if it's an emergency, or not too many people. But it's the West Highland Way. The same reason you thought it would be a good distance to stop is the same reason 10 other people did. Pretty intense vibe with people slowly arriving throughout the evening. There as some beautiful camping spots 2/3km south of it - up to you!
Great bothy for a nights stop if your walking the west highland way or walking from Rowardennan or inversnaid and fancy something different.
Not a lot to say about here, it's a bothy it was clean and tidy had a fireplace so had somewhere to dry clothes if needed, I stopped for lunch and a rest before carrying on for the day
Good place. Simple and cozy. It served its purpose in rainy scotish weather.
Great place to stay, get warm, meet people. I love the bothy community! We stayed another day to clean the place. The only negative thing is the rain on the metal roof during the night which will keep you awake if you're not prepared...
