A good school. The Friends of Warout group is the best

My son is in primary 1 and their teacher Miss. Aitkens is really lovely. I like the way primary one is set out and taught but have no experience with P2 and other years where things get more academically based. The school system in Scotland is very different to the English/Welsh system, I've not quite decided of that's a good or bad thing yet though. As with all schools, there are some bad kids. Also, the parent around the area can be a bit... Meh? But the shool itself, the teaching, and the implementation of various new reading schemes and such (as well as them setting up some clubs) are really improving the education which the children receive there. I like the way that school uniform is not the be-all and end-all of everything (they won't be sent home as in some other schools) so on wash days, you don't have to panic as much as I otherwise would. By Scottish standards, I'd say the education received here (in what is not one of the best areas) is actually quite good and varied, they ensure that children don't do the same thing every day. The only real downside is that they should vary the menu more and mix it up.
The worse school I have ever had the misfortune of knowing. My younger brother was seriously assulted in October which has led to my brother having an operation. The school still have not write a report or excluded the child who has done this. Their excuse is the child is in care so we can't do anything. Disgusting teachers.
