I genuinely believe this school is a great one. After experiencing another - more highly respected - school, I realized just how much teachers dedicate their time and effort into helping students understand, in different, unique and more fun ways, compared to grammar schools - which from experience stuck with textbooks and relied on their reputation. My only issue would be the way teachers respond to personal issues concerning medical health - both psychically and mentally - as so long as you aren't puking you are fine and must continue working, which is not the issue in most cases such as migraines, anxiety and the most common stress. However, I do understand this is a difficult subject to tackle as it is difficult to know whether a child is lying about being unwell so please keep that in mind.

If this review system allowed you to put zero stars, I would have put that in. The school lacks diversity completely and does not offer help for bullied students; often teachers will watch and ignore it while it is happening in front of them. If you are from an ethnic origin particularly south asian I would seriously not recommend this school. Also zero hygiene in the toilets. Adding in two Asian students for your google school photo to get more students and look 'ofsted diverse' does not equate to an equal learning environment for all. If you want child to have friends, get good grades and have a happy high school experience look elsewhere.

Horrible school. Crazily strict. A girl got expelled for dying her hair a certain colour. They don't deal with bullying. Despicable.
