I could not be more pleased with my kilt! The color, the fit, the quality are all perfect! It arrived in a timely manner and without any trouble. I was a little concerned, because I was calling from America, and giving my measurements over the phone. Gillian was very helpful in making sure my measurements were correct. She answered all my questions and made sure that I was getting the perfect kilt for my needs. I was also looking for a versatile jacket and waistcoat, that would complement the kilt, and be appropriate for any occasion. Gillian suggested the Holyrood jacket and waistcoat. She was right, it all looks great! I can't say enough about their shop or the quality of their products.

I was recommended Gordon Nicolson by a family member who lives in Edinburgh and am happy to say living London I still had an excellent experience dealing remotely with them. I ordered a bespoke Tartan waistcoat (see attached image) for my wedding, the process was easy and they were really helpful in finding the correct tartan and ensuring that the measurements were right. Finally and most importantly, the waistcoat looks excellent - thank-you!

My wife and I and our 5 adult children took a trip to Scotland from the US this past March. We were in Edinburgh 3 days. One of the highlights of our trip was our time spent in the Gordon Nicolson Kiltmakers shop. We worked with Gillian and the staff to get fitted for all sorts of items in our family tartan. We received our Order a few days ago and we are extremely pleased and excited. The quality and workmanship in every item is simply sublime! I really cannot adequately express how enjoyable the whole experience was for us and how beautiful are all the items that they made for us! We are already talking about a return trip to Scotland (whenever the virus gets behind us) and going to have Gillian and the team create more beautiful items for us!
I contacted Gordon Nicholson early June 2020, in hope the shop was open due to Covid-19. I spoke with Gillian and asked if I could place order, I wasn't to sure if we would be able get up to Scotland situation at the time. I was told it wouldn't be a problem, that I could order online. I was kept updated at all stages of the process and emailed yesterday, to inform me the order had been shipped. I received my order today, as it was dispatched through DHL. Excellent service, communication throughout and a high quality Prince Charlie Package. Highly recommended.
