I absolutely love Nomad Sailing. Have done both day skipper and yacht master theory with Jim in the evenings at Waterloo. Jim is a fabulous teacher and a thoroughly nice chap. I can't fault the way the course is put on. Also made friends and have been sailing with other people I met on the course which is a great benefit compared to just doing it online (especially if they happen to own a yacht!). On the practical side I have been sailing with them a number of times to build experience with both Jim and Lou including their ice-breaker weekends and a few cross-channels where once Lou encouraged / pushed me to skipper the return leg. Unbelievable opportunity to build experience and confidence to which i am very grateful. They really care about your learning and development so that whatever level you are you disembark a better sailor. Had planned to do coastal skipper with Nomad this year but due to events that will now have to be 2021. Five Stars without hesitation. Tom P

Hi. I did the Day Skipper theory three years ago with Jim at Blackfriars, London SE1 - evening classes over a number of weeks. Revision then past papers followed by exam - bit like \O\ levels. Had that fluttering butterfly experience but, hooray, passed. Again with Nomad for the practical in the Solent - now successful owner of pointy hat & experience of several Ionian flotillas. I'd heartily recommend Jim, Lou & the wider Nomad crew. Get studying & sailing. Ian Draude
Completed practical Day Skipper with Lou and found her excellent, patient, professional. relaxed, a great experience. Then with Joe completed Yacht Master theory. Always willing to take extra time with anyone who needed more explanation and builds confidence. I highly recommend Nomad Sailing, has a family feel - teaching with warmth.
I have done a few trips and courses with Nomad Sailing and they are excellent in every way. Lou is an awesome skipper and teacher, and she makes sure everyone feels welcome and at home on the boat. Each time I sail with them, I learn so many new things and improve my sailing hugely - and most importantly, I have a great time! Five stars all round for Nomad Sailing!
I did my Cruising Instructor course with Nomad Sailing last January and it was great! Jim is an excellent instructor, very experienced and friendly. The boat and the training facilities are simply perfect. Don't hesitate to book a course with Nomad!!
