A simple boiler replacement? Upon arrival the to do the job, LCH told me the quote provided by them previously was apparently incorrect due to my wife not telling LCH the correct location of the gas pipe - clearly LCH's fault and not hers. Suddenly LCH demanded another 400 for ultimately nugatory work to increase gas pipe diameter along the run (required for new boiler and gas hob), only part finished as scaffolding would be required (only mentioned after the additional work had begun). In the end I replaced the gas hob with an electrical one, negating any need for the increased pipe diameter (solving this issue myself for 200). I was not given all the options when the additional 400 was demanded over the quote of about 2500. Then all during the day of installation, multiple threats were made to me and my family that they would remove the boiler if payment was not made the same day - it was December and I had a 4 year old boy in the flat. He even walked into my bedroom without knocking, demanding money again. Job was about satisfactory, but the boss of LCH was an extremely unpleasant and unprofessional man to deal with. An absolute bully, who through his own actions and nasty Dickensian demeanour that December day caused this review.
