My new car was supplied with the wrong registration number. When I spotted the mistake they did send out someone to fix it, after I chased them and explained i could not use the car! The new rear plate fell off after a few weeks so I called them twice but they didn't call back (he's busy at the moment - you get that a lot from them!) I ended up going to a local service centre and they ordered and fitted the new plate the same day, which I paid for. At the first service I went to MB Brooklands and they were OK. At the 2nd service I forgot and when Sandown called me I stupidly booked with them. The service process was not slick but that happens a lot with main dealers in my experience. When I got the car home I checked the paperwork (I have a service plan so nothing to pay) There was one sheet of paper saying it had had another A service when it should have had a B service. MB Brooklands gave me a full set of service paperwork the year before but Sandown just gave me a single page. I called Sandown and eventually someone called me back and I was assured the correct service had in fact been carried out and they would send the correct paperwork immediately - they never did send anything so I am left wondering if they did the cheaper service! This company are attentive right up until you take your car away after which they could not care less! The 3 year PCP ends soon and I will be taking it to Brooklands for its final service. I will probably roll over to a new Smart EQ but will get one from a dealer in the North who offer much better deals. No way I will do business with Sandown again!

I spent 15 minutes in a live chat regarding a car. I asked two straight forward questions regarding it and was promised somebody would ring me back shortly. Nobody, rang me back and then two days later, I looked on line to see the car has now been sold. Poor customer service and lack of courtesy.

Absolutely shocking customer service. It appears they don't want to sell cars. I made an enquiry on a vehicle they had in stock, no one got back to me,. After chasing them for a couple of days they informed me that my enquiry would be passed over to the Basingstoke branch. That would mean that the car at Guildford would need to be moved over to Basingstoke for me to view it. The Basingstoke branch have been equally unhelpful, as they don't want to deal with me as the car isn't located at their site. If this is how they treat a potential customer that wants to spend money purchasing a car, I can't imagine how they would treat a customer with an issue after purchasing.....
