Only give one star as thats the lowest you can give, Marie is so rude and obnoxiousness, a awful service when i took a book of stamps in that i had inherited and she had zero time for us. I advise going to Cavendish auction house, which i did and posted my stamp collection. Guess what i am now 3,500 better off. Maria you missed a valuable stamp!!
I have had the delight of visiting Maria's Stamps several times now, each time the service was tailored and attentive, Maria is really friendly and helped me source some amazing space stamps for my growing collection and with a promise of more to follow, I shall look forward to many more visits to this magical little shop. Thank you Maria! - Steve
What a wonderful lady, and what a fascinating little place. I went there in search of a specific type of Lighthouse album (and suitable Primus A pages), but instead left with a 1975 Stanley Gibbons "Stamps of the World" catalogue. And I only left because my parking meter was running . . . I could have spent all day talking to Maria: an intelligent, down-to-earth philatelic expert who is the nicest person I have met in a long time. Her focus is on the states that evolved from the break-up of the USSR, so she won't be getting much custom from me (I am interested in old Commonwealth and old French colonies) but I will DEFINITELY visit Maria's Stamps the next time I am in Halifax. Thank you, Maria, for the most interesting half-hour of my 2016 so far.
Great stock, quite varied and extensive. Knowledgeable patron. Good to visit.
Maria is always helpful and goes out of her way to find things you need. One to do business with and worth the journey from Nottingham!
Very busy lady so be patient
