I have been a regular of Sambal for over 6 years and my wife has been visiting weekly (sometimes twice a week) since the day they opened 10 years ago. Although the food and service were good for the price you pay until recently, everything about this place has gone down. 1) The food's quality and quantity has dwindled significantly while the prices have gone up, 2) The quality of service has degraded and talking to some of their staff about the quality of their food feels like the they are going to punch you in the face about complaining, 3) Leaving complaints on their complaints register gets you nowhere. It is a shame that such a well run restaurant has gone southwards. Who knows, perhaps this is due to a change in management or the havoc Covid may have wreaked upon them.

Food is nice and service is quite decent for the place, but one issue I find quite hmm hard to explain is the smell the place gets now days is getting very bad and worst. Due to a fresh fish store next door it's become harder now.food wise we can sense a change in hand as it's more not authentic now..but still nice.if they can work on space as sometimes it's quite cramped and the smell they get it can be great.
