When we bought our 3-bedroom house, the previous owner told us she had explored every way of extending it, with no luck. Six years after, we were ready for the loft conversion and rear extension. Several builders visited our place, but none of them was able to find a workable solution without losing one of the bedrooms. At this point we engaged with Your Architect. Kaushik and his team developed a solution nobody had envisioned so far, which would keep 3 bedrooms on the first floor, allow the loft conversation and increase the overall practicality of the house. This looked very appealing on paper, and we went ahead. Now at the time of writing, the project is fully completed, and we are enjoying our refurbished house. We now have 4 full size bedrooms, a separate utility room, and a study we would never have planned for. What is stunning is how practical and well thought it is: beyond the gain in square foot, everything is so convenient! It is almost like Kaushik and the team were guessing about our busy family schedule when they designed every details. Even the garden, which has been reduced to accommodate the rear extension, looks way more appealing and integrated (and surprisingly it looks bigger – even the kids say this). I would re-engage with Your Architect anytime. And would highly recommend to anybody for new build or extension. Surely there are plenty of builders who can propose loft conversion/extension on the market, but you need to think about the day-to-day features and usability beyond gross square feet addition. This is where the Your Architect bring unique differentiators. Thank you so much!
I needed advice about a prospective house purchase and what alterations might be possible. Ko listened carefully and gave me very helpful advice and information, for which he didn’t charge. I knew this practice was highly recommended and after my experience They would be my go to choice if I needed work done
