We visited Carr Taylor on a slight overcast day in August along with a group of about 26 ish people. The tour guide David clearly has an extensive knowledge of the estate and gave a fabulous insite into the running of the place as well as guiding the group through the making of their wine (with a touch of comedy thrown in) The whole process was explained and then you’re taken into the charming old shop/eating area where you sample their wine section. You get to sample all the wines they make on their tour, providing generous samples in your glass. A ploughman’s lunch is then made and you get yet another glass of their premium wine with the food. David, the guide, goes through the process of tasking your wine as well as showing you tips on how to get the most of it. Yes, the place needs a bit of paint here and there but this adds the rustic charm of the place and doesn’t deter you away from the wine, which quite frankly is the reason for your visit. A wonderful afternoon out and great company. Would thoroughly recommend an afternoon here especially on a warm summers day as there’s ample seating outside amongst the vines. A selection of sparkling, still white and rose wines as well as some others.

A great way to spend time out. An interesting history of the vines and local area. Really enjoyed trying the different wines. Good ploughman's lunch, should have advised them I was cheese Intolerant, easy to safe distance as beautiful day. Bottles of wine to purchase at good prices. Bacchus and sparkling both very good. Second visit and definitely hope to go back again.

Enjoyed this quaint english vineyard. We went for a self tour and it was great. We should all support local and english business. We also bought some wine from there after tasting and we were not disappointed. Would definitely recommend. Very friendly and great customer care with all.

We went here as it was fairly local and we'd talked about going for a while. We had a relaxing stroll around the vineyards before going into the shop for a chance to taste some of the wines. We bought two bottles, had a cup of tea and coffee and left. Enjoyed the experience. Only tip would be for visitors to wear sturdy shoes for going round the vineyards and the site can get muddy when it rains.

We visited on what in theory should have been a barmy August day. However the lack of good weather didn't disappoint. Nor did the tour, food or wine. Dave the Hat gave a fantastic tour, was really informative and funny. The food was brilliant and as for the wine
