Lovely natural space with great walks and a huge beach. Easy to get in and around the beach as there are steps and ramps down to the shoreline. Caravan park by the beach and some lovely designer houses that look like they are straight from Grand Designs! Huge cliffs with great views and when the tide is out Rock pools and a prehistoric forrest that left tree stumps. Open for dogs to walk but not in the summer season.

Really love this beach - so do my dogs! Over a few days or weeks, the Cliff End oof the beach changes appearance from being all covered pebbles, to dark red or light sand strips among pebbles, or with large fallen rocks and tree trunks, or the exposed concrete bones of a WW2 pillbox, according to the tides and wind direction. At low tide you can walk out onto the rocks and sand - avoiding the softer muddy areas if possible, as you can sink in ankle deep in some places. Remains of the ancient sunken forest are fascinating and the rock pools are always interesting.

Nice place to walk to the cliffs. Plenty of parking and toilets nearby. Have to be aware of tide coming in near cliffs.

It was great to see how far the sea goes out, the sunken forest from 6000 years ago and also the look out tower that looks onto the sea. The beach is very nice as some parts have very nice sand and it is fun to walk onto, great for those practicing swimming also as water is low.

Lovely quiet place to chill out. A popular beach for inflatable dinghys from France.
