Well worth the money and the ticket is a return trip. It only takes a few minutes to go up and down in a safe environment. Staff are friendly and helpful. At the top there is a cafe if you wish to get a drink, a bite to eat or an ice cream. Quick and easy way to get up to Hastings Castle, the Smugglers Adventure or the grassy area of the West Hill

Interesting sea-side oddity and a piece of the past. The 'journey' only takes a few minutes but takes you back to simpler times.
Fun ride and saves you a long walk up/down the steep hill.
Have been coming here since I was very young, and coming back as a teenager, I still love the lift. It’s not as nice as the east one, as you don’t get the view, but it’s still a very handy lift, and gives kids a great view of old fashioned engineering.
Simple. Nostalgic. Basic. Brings you up next to a nice little cafe. I always walk back down!
Worth taking a ride for the experience and the beauty of the station amd tunnel as well as access to castle and smugglers cave or down to town. Not a very long ride but kids enjoyed it none the less.
No view other than tunnel view. Would almost call it a scam since it takes literally 3 minutes by the stairs. Competitor (East Hill Lift) has a lot more to offer for the price.
