I started using this service in 2010 when I moved to the area . I have always had excellent service. They have looked after our animals including elderly dogs and horses with incredible care as well as young puppies and nervous cats .They are extremely caring and conscientious as well as very experienced. I have used animals sitters for over 30 years and these are the best I have ever found and I wouldn't trust my animals to anyone else. I return to happy animals and everything clean and tidy .They send regular updates on how the animals are with photos and videos so I can relax and enjoy my holidays with no worries. They care for our animals around 6 to 8 times each year and I have never had any problems., My only worry is that they are unable to dates I require . I book the sitter before I book ANY vacation as their availability is paramount.

I only worked for Presell Animal Homecare for a short period of time over the holidays, but University commitments have meant I was unable to carry on whilst studying. I would just like to say it was a pleasure to work for Julia and Martin Hughes who are both lovely people and care and support their staff. They were on call whenever needed, and you can truly see their love for animals, and the way they carry this to every home sat for, through themselves and their staff.
Julia has looked after my two labradors and one (blind) cat many times, she is very caring and competent. I used to be very averse to leaving them with anyone due to their need for medication (one of my dogs was epileptic plus my cat Tally needed daily tablets), also I basically didn't think anyone could look after them as well as me but she proved to be the exception. I understand that Julia has now expanded her business taking on new carers, knowing her high standards they will only be the best people you could wish for to look after your beloved fur babies.
I have no hesitation, whatsoever, in recommending Preseli Animal Homecare. We've used them at least four times now, and have always had friendly, efficient service. You just have to remember to book well in advance to make sure they can accommodate you. Our dogs are very poor travellers and we have long journeys to visit relatives, one of whom has cats. Before finding this company we had some bad experiences with kennels, they are often noisy, disturbing places, often use young inexperienced staff, and we hated the fact that you have no idea how long your dogs are locked up during the day. Our oldest dog is very sensitive and always came back very upset by the experience. We are now big fans of house/pet sitting. Your pets are in their own home, you (and the pets) get introduced to the person who will be looking after them, and your house is also taken care of while you are away. It is far superior to kennels at little extra cost. Julia and Martin are lovely, friendly people, real animal lovers themselves, with a large menagerie of their own. Well worth five stars.
