I had a wonderful experience over three days. I am an actor and thought this would be yet another skill that would enhance my CV. It went well beyond what I had expected. It was exiting, scary, challenging both mentally and physically. Above all it was really good fun. The team that looked after us were so nice and so professional. I absolutely trusted them with our safety and well-being. Thank you all for a truly amazing experience. I will definitely be back for a further bit of training.
I went into the course with basic knowledge about Firearms and over the two day basic training and the third day advanced training, i have learnt and experienced twice what i thought i would! The instructors are fantastic, so patient in their directions and explanations. The main reason i felt so comfortable eventually handling live firearms is because Ben and Stuart emphasise safety. The food was phenomenal, with something for us all to eat, even those with more specific dietary requirements. 10/10 recommend this experience.
I have just completed the Handgun & Tactical Rifle Training & Advanced Firearm Skill Set Training, and I can't recommend these courses highly enough! The instructors (Ben & Stu) were incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, I learnt far more than I thought possible in the time frame. Also, the food provided was absolutely fantastic! Thank you so much to the Firearm Training for Film & TV team for an incredible few days - I will certainly be recommending these courses to all of my acting colleagues!
Had a fantastic few days training with some very special people they were so professional, vastly experienced and understood what we all wanted to learn. We were trained in a number of different weapons systems and shot both live and blank rounds...And we were well looked after. The food was excellent, the local hotels were great and very reasonably priced. And if you want to have the very best training in a safe environment gaining an accredited certificate then book on their course you won’t regret it! #skills #firearmstraining #actorslife
If you are thinking of training in firearms for film & TV BOOK THIS COURSE. I had the best three days with Ben, Stuart and Felicity. They are passionate about what they do, extremely knowledgeable, professional and really care about what you want to take away from the course. Totally exceeded expectation...so glad I choose these guys.
As a professional actor working in the industry - I cannot recommend this course enough. They pass on extensive knowledge in how to stand, hold, point, fire and reload a wide array of firearms. As well as teaching you how the firearms work and how to safely deal with any problems you may encounter. I think it's important to point out I had a bit of a fear of firearms before coming to this course and was even wary around BB's. I can honestly say after completing both the Basic and Advanced (I recommend paying for the extra day) and using a wide range of firearms, constantly, under Benjamin and his team's tutelage, I'm not only confident around firearms, but enjoy handling, firing and reloading them and left more than capable of dealing with their use on professional set. Not only was it a great course from a practical point of view, but it was also immense fun. We we're looked after very well by felicity and the team, who even catered towards fantastic vegan and gluten free lunches. I also recommend the video Shoot, with the very friendly and skilled James, of Melyn media. I'll be returning to improve my skills in the future, for a refresher course, but also because these guys are awesome fun and just a great bunch of guys.
