Went to see the Operatic society performance of The Sorcerer, which was excellent. A very grand production, fully orchestrated, excellent cast and with a beautiful and impressive set, but in the location of a little church which made it very immediate and intimate too. Free tea and biscuits in the interval reminded me why I love seeing theatrical productions in churches! If I had any issue with the venue it was just that there are rather a lot of stairs. I understand that services are held in the church hall downstairs (at least in winter?) so I imagine it's not a problem for worshippers but might be an issue if you're coming for a production. I also found the entrance hard to spot as the two big front doors were closed and there wasn't any signage to say where to go in. However, everyone I spoke to was very friendly and I enjoyed my visit very much.

I popped in here to have a look at a vintage clothes sale during the annual Haworth 1940s weekend. There was also a tea room being operated in the venue. It was pretty cramped and it was difficult to get in and out or look aroudn without getting in people's way. I don't know what it's like when there isn't a big event on.
